Hebert F. Sanders, M.D., attended the University of Virginia College of Arts & Sciences in 1963. Following medical school in 1968 he was an intern at the University of Missouri Medical Center and then began neurosurgery training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The training was interrupted by the United States Navy and in 1972 Dr. Sanders was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant Commander. Subsequently, he finished neurology training at Vanderbilt University in 1976. Dr. Sanders is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Sleep medicine. He is actively involved in the resident teaching program at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. Dr. Sanders is the widower of Susan Sanders, has two children and 5 grand children.

 

 

 

Julia L. Mikell, M.D., received her undergraduate degree from University of Georgia, magna cum laude in 1972. Following graduation, Dr. Mikell pursued a career in medicine and completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in 1976. Subsequently, Dr. Mikell completed her internship at the Medical University of South Carolina and her Neurology Residency and Fellowship at The Mayo Clinic in 1980. In addition to Neurology, Dr. Mikell is also an Active Certified Member of Neurorehabilitation and an accredited Clinical Polysomnographer and Member of The Director of Rehabilitation at Candler Hospital. Dr. Mikell has been in private practice in Savannah since 1980. Dr. Mikell is married to the Honorable Charles B. Mikell, Jr. and has three sons.

 

 

 

Richard A. Bodziner, M.D received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University in 1975 and completed medical school at the Medical college of Georgia in 1979. Following medical school Dr. Bodziner completed his internship at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York and his Neurology Resident training at New England Medical Center in Boston Massachusetts. He completed his fellowship in New York City in 1984. In addition to the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Dr. Bodziner holds certification with the American Association of Electromyography and Electrodiagnosis. He has been in private practice in Savannah since 1984. Dr. Bodziner is married to Meridith Bodziner and has two incredible daughters.

E. Frank Lafranchise, M.D., received his undergraduate degree at Georgetown University in 1982 and completed in medical school of medicine in 1986. Following medical school Dr. Lafranchise completed his Neurology Resident Training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Hospital and Subsequently completed his fellowship in Neurorehabilitation at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston. Dr. Lafranchise completed an additional fellowship in Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. In addition to the American Board of Psychiatry at St. Joseph’s Hospital and has been in private practice in savannah since 1986 he is married to Joan Lafranchise and has one daughter and a son.

S.Terri Bunch, M.D., MB, CHIR, began both undergraduate and graduate medicine at the University of Cambridge in England. She graduated in December 2000, following a ten year participatory period in neurochemical research. Dr. Bunch completed her internships in England and subsequently studied Neurotrauma with a special interest in pediatrics. Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Bunch completed an internship in medicine in Minnesota, followed by a dual residency in adult and pediatric neurology, and a pediatric neurology fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She has maintained her interests in brain chemistry and continues to publish in peer reviewed journals. Behavioral neurology and autism are her special interests.

 

 

 

William T. Garrett, M.D., received his undergraduate degree from University of Georgia in 1987. He completed medical school at the Medical College for Georgia in 1991. Following medical school Dr. Garrett completed his internship at Emory University in Atlanta in 1992. He completed his Neurology Resident Training at the University of Virginia, and then completed his Fellowship, also at University of Virginia in Movement disorders, Neuropharmacology and Neuropsychiatric Geriatric and EMG. Dr. Garrett has been in private practice in Savannah since 1999. He is married to Kelly Garrette has two daughters and a son.

 

 

 

Wallette G. Widener, MSN, APRN, BC, CNRN, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1993 from Armstrong State College. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Armstrong Atlantic State University in 1997 as an Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist. She successfully completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Georgia Southern University in 2002. She was inducted in Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society in 1993. She is a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse and a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

 

 

 

Kathryn Gilreath, MSN, ANP, graduated magna cum laude from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Kathy received her Master's Degree in Nursing from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2002. She is board-certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
